Welcome to BabyTree Projects’ Sophia Saly Walkathon 2013 webpage…
Everything you need to participate in this event is on this page.
This walkathon is dedicated to the life and memory of Sophia Saly.
Sophia Saly was a founding member of BabyTree Projects Australia and was an important part of BabyTree’s vision, achievements and successes. We wish to memorialise the unique spirit in which Sophia lived her life, in this project. Even though, she has left this world for the next, her spirit and legacy remains strongly with us.
100% of funds raised from this walkathon goes towards the building of the Sophia Saly School on a beach (Kep Province, Cambodia). This will include the construction of a three classroom building, toilets, a water well and on-going support for teacher training, scholarships and an enriched curriculum.
We hope you join us in this special walk that is a celebration of a life fully lived and continues with our crucial work of fighting for children’s right to access quality education. Something Sophia was extremely passionate about.
Remember raising $100 or more means you will receive a cool BabyTree t-shirt (subject to availability).
So how do you join us in this event, well first you:
1) You say ‘YES’ to a better world, its only $20 to register and includes a BBQ lunch and entertainment on the day.
